Code of Conduct

Effective October 6, 2026 · Version 2026-10-06

LibertyLink exists so Liberty University law students can share outlines, buy and sell textbooks, and support one another. This Code of Conduct explains the standards every member of the community is expected to follow. Violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination of access.

1. Our Purpose

LibertyLink is a student-operated hub for the Liberty University School of Law community. Its purpose is to make legal education more collaborative: sharing study materials, connecting classmates, and exchanging textbooks. Everything on the platform should serve that purpose.

2. Who May Use LibertyLink

  • Access is limited to members of the law school community with verified Liberty University email addresses, subject to admin approval.
  • You must use your own identity. Impersonating another person, professor, or administrator is prohibited.
  • Do not share your account or invite people who do not belong to the community.

3. Respect in All Communication

Course channels, social channels, clubs, comments, and reviews are shared spaces. Be civil, professional, and constructive. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeted intimidation of any member.
  • Hate speech or slurs targeting any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • Sexual content, sexting, or sexually explicit material of any kind.
  • Doxxing: sharing another person's private information (address, phone number, grades, or other personal details) without their consent.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertising.
  • Content that is unlawful, or that encourages or facilitates unlawful activity.

4. Academic Integrity

LibertyLink is a study aid, not a shortcut around your own work. You are responsible for knowing and following the Liberty University School of Law Honor Code. You must not:

  • Share exam questions, exam answers, or graded work before the exam period closes.
  • Post material your professors have restricted from distribution.
  • Submit another student's outline as your own work product.
  • Use shared materials in any way your instructors or the Honor Code prohibit.

When in doubt, ask your professor whether a resource is appropriate to use.

5. Honest Marketplace Conduct

  • List textbooks you actually own and can deliver. Do not list items you do not have.
  • Price and describe items accurately, including their condition.
  • Do not sell photocopies, scans, or unauthorized copies of copyrighted materials.
  • Complete transactions in good faith and honor agreed prices. Report problems using the Report Abuse tool rather than taking matters into your own hands.

6. Accurate Profiles and Reviews

  • Use your real name and accurate details on your profile.
  • Do not post reviews intended to target, retaliate against, or harass anyone.

7. Reporting and Moderation

If you see content that violates this Code, report it using the Report button on the relevant content or the Report Abuse page. Moderators and administrators review reports and may edit or remove content, mute users, and suspend or terminate accounts. Reports made in good faith will never count against you; knowingly false reports may.

8. Enforcement

Depending on the severity and history of the violation, LibertyLink may issue a warning, remove content, mute a user from channels, suspend an account, or permanently terminate access. Serious violations, including threats, harassment, and academic-integrity violations, may also be referred to Liberty University officials or law enforcement where appropriate.

9. Changes to This Code

We may update this Code of Conduct as the community grows. The effective date and version at the top of this page will change whenever we do, and continued use of LibertyLink after an update means you accept the current version.
