Marketplace Terms

1. Our Role

LibertyLink provides a place for Liberty Law students to discover and connect with one another to buy and sell textbooks. We are not a party to any transaction and are not the seller, buyer, agent, or payment processor for user-listed books. We do not take possession of, inspect, or guarantee any item, payment, delivery, or outcome.

The marketplace is for physical textbooks only. Listings of digital textbooks, PDFs, scans, photocopies, or other electronic copies are prohibited. LibertyLink provides the platform through which users find and communicate with buyers and sellers; the individual user — not LibertyLink — is the seller of the physical textbook.

2. Seller Responsibilities

• You may list only items you own or are authorized to sell.
• You must accurately describe the item, its condition, and its price.
• You are responsible for delivery or exchange arrangements and for communicating honestly with buyers.
• By listing an item, you affirm the listing does not knowingly violate another person's intellectual-property rights.

3. Prohibited Listings

• Pirated PDFs or unauthorized scans of textbooks, commercial outlines, or supplements.
• Digital textbooks, e-books, PDFs, textbook scans, photocopies, or other electronic copies.
• Copied commercial outlines or unauthorized answer keys.
• Counterfeit or stolen books.
• Unauthorized access codes or digital materials that cannot lawfully be transferred.
• Any item that is illegal to possess or sell, or that infringes third-party rights.

4. Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers are encouraged to inspect items before paying and to confirm condition and authenticity with the seller. Buyers and sellers transact at their own risk.

5. Transactions, Payments, and Disputes

LibertyLink does not process payments and does not store payment-card information. Buyers and sellers arrange payment directly between themselves. Any payment method used is subject to the terms of that provider, not LibertyLink. We do not guarantee refunds, returns, or resolution of disputes. Participants should agree on terms before payment.

6. Fraud, Safety, and Reporting

Do not use the marketplace to defraud, misrepresent, or harm others. If you encounter a suspicious, fraudulent, or prohibited listing, use the "Report" button on the listing or the Report Abuse page. We may remove listings and suspend accounts for violations.

7. No Guarantees

We do not guarantee the identity, reliability, or good faith of any buyer or seller, the accuracy of any listing, or the completion or quality of any transaction. You release LibertyLink from claims arising out of marketplace transactions to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Incorporation

These Marketplace Terms supplement the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to marketplace use.
